Call for Abstract

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below while submitting their abstracts.

Conference registration is mandatory. Abstracts of unregistered presenting authors will not be accepted.
The abstract title should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the study.
The abstract must not exceed 300 words.
The abstract should be structured under the following headings:
- Title
- Background/Aim
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
The Title should be typed in CAPITAL LETTERS, 14-point font (scientific names should follow standard italicized upper/lower case formatting).
The abstract text should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font.

The first (submitting) author must be the presenting author.
The presenting author is responsible for ensuring that:
- All co-authors are aware of and have approved the submitted abstract.
- The submitted work is original and free from plagiarism.
The presenting author’s full name (First, Middle & Last Name) and institutional affiliation(s) must be provided.
Authors should mention their highest academic qualification after their name.
Residents and Postgraduate students may mention their current designation (e.g., Postgraduate Resident – Orthopaedics).
Clearly mention the Department and Institution to which the work belongs.
Complete correspondence details of the presenting author must be provided, including:
- Mailing Address
- Mobile Number
- E-mail Address

All submitted abstracts will undergo peer review by the MPIOACON 2026 Scientific Committee.
The Scientific Committee will evaluate each abstract and determine its acceptance, presentation format, and presentation category based on scientific merit and eligibility.
Accepted abstracts may be allotted to one of the following categories:
- Free Paper
- Free Paper (Gold Medal Competition) (Open only to Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and Professors/Faculty Members.)
- Free Paper (Non-Competitive)
- PG Paper (Competitive & Non-Competitive)
- Assistant Surgeon Paper (Open only to Assistant Surgeons (Government Medical Officers) and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons.)
- E-Poster
Residents, Postgraduate Students, Fellows, and Senior Residents are not eligible to participate in the Free Paper (Gold Medal Competition) or Assistant Surgeon Paper categories.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign or change the presentation category of any abstract based on eligibility and scientific merit.
The decision of the MPIOACON 2026 Scientific Committee regarding abstract acceptance, presentation category, and presentation format shall be final and binding.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be required to:

Submit their presentation in the prescribed format within the stipulated timeline.
Present their work during the scientific sessions as per the conference schedule.
Adhere to all presentation guidelines issued by the Organizing Committee.

Note: Abstracts submitted after the closing date will not be considered for review.

Each presenting author may submit more than one abstract, subject to acceptance by the Scientific Committee.
Abstracts must be submitted online only through the official MPIOACON 2026 Abstract Submission Portal.
Once submitted, abstracts cannot be edited after the submission deadline.
Abstracts that have been previously published or presented at another national conference are discouraged unless substantially updated.
All accepted presenters must be registered delegates of MPIOACON 2026 to be included in the final scientific programme.
Failure to present an accepted paper without prior intimation may affect eligibility for future scientific presentations at MPIOA conferences.
